Comments Thread For: David Benavidez, Father, Brother Certain He'd Knock Out Canelo

OMAHA, Nebraska David Benavidez is here to support his older brother, Jose Jr., for the biggest fight of his career. Watching his unbeaten big brother prepare for his shot at Terence Crawford also has inspired him to land a huge fight of his own. David Benavidez hopes Canelo Alvarez beats Rocky Fielding on December 15, remains at 168 pounds and grants him an opportunity to prove himself against one of the best boxers in the world.

David is a legit 168 fighter. Canelo will beat Rocky then he’ll make a new “Canelo weight” at 163 and challenge a bunch mid rank guys from both classes, everyone raving about how amazing Canelo is for being so small and fighting at 163 while he rehydrates up to 190 and beats the piss out of sulecki

I'm not sure what the problem is with David? He's only 21 and is a beast. What else is he supposed to say? He'd be ****** not to want that opportunity.

Now Zurdo? He's a hype job so bash away, but Benavidez is 4real. Very young tough kid.

Anyone thinking/hoping that CA is sticking around at 168 may be setting themselves up for disappointment.
