I like yarde but he tries to hard to be like floyd,he doesnt have the fluidity or years of experience for the shoulder roll to be his base defense,if the bums he fights can hit him the a level fighters are for sure, hes lacking alot of fundamentals and would be better served focusing on developing those rather than trying to be like floyd

Hope he fights someone good as I think he has the goods!

Good speed, good power, works the body and can pick his shots when he wants!

Not sure about his stamina or his chin but we’ll see!

I think by next year he should fight someone like a contender

World level at 175 is too much for this guy, he's all hype. His trainer Tunde Ajaye talks absolute ****. Anyone heard of Junior Asaba? He said he was going to be a superstar about 5 years ago. Reality says differently.
There must be reasons they are so deperate to avoid stepping Yarde up in levels.
Personally I think just looking at his chin, it looks like it will be made of glass. He has a narrow pointy jaw - it just doesn't look solid at all. I know there's no actual proof yet, but he just looks chinny to me.
I think he has an decent chin because he goes entire rounds of not properly defending it and never seems troubled by the shots that land. He could get badly hurt at British level but I think he has a good punchers chance against all of them

I will allow Yarde another few "warm-up" fights, the problem is he's ranked no.2 with the WBO and with that comes expectation.

His only test was against a 39 year old who campaigned most of his career at Super Middle so I can see why people are getting fed up now.

But Boxing is a tough sport and that "0" is valuable in the game even more so if he can a respectable title. Unfortunately the WBO is now in Alvarez's hands and there are no easy out's in the other organisations either so Uncle Frank can't get him an easy world title shot.

He'll be tested when he steps up but it's quite obvious he's not ready yet, should spend some time in Kovalev's camp or Stevenson's camp as a sparring partner to develop his game and see where he is at behind closed doors because he only has 3 or 4 more fights of learning in my opinion.

20 to learn and to be able to earn so keeping that 0 is important but if it's start's getting to 26,27 fights like this then yes the fans have a right to complain.

Someone mentioned he should stop the shoulder roll move, I agree Floyd did it as a reaction move on the ropes this kid seems to have it as his stance, he will get caught badly doing that (refer to the Edwin Rodriguez - Michael Seals fight) Seals was messing about with the shoulder roll and got took out despite being a dangerous fighter himself. I see very similar traits between Seals and Yarde which is a worry
