I didn’t even know Brentford had a centre... This is your 17th fight. When are you going to start stepping it up? Don’t post any news until you are challenging for a belt probably when you are 40-0

He has limited experience in the amateurs so he is learning on the job.
Not many boxers get deals with major shoe brands so that is massive for him.

They are definately going the Deontay Wilder route of 30+ fights against bums. I think something happened behind closed doors which made Anthony Yarde's team realize he needs a lot of work, or he needs to be steered very carefully to a title shot. Doesn't look good in my opinion. They want us to believe this guy has everything, but they're unwilling to put him in any competitive fights? His trainer Turdy Ajayi has openly said "Anthony is taking easy fights until I decide he's ready."

Anthony Yarde's previous 16 opponents have an average KO ratio of 17%. The majority of them are actually below 10%, but are bumped up by Norbert Nemesapati (56%) and Richard Baranyi (57%). Both of these amassed a lot of their stoppages fighting novice bums in Hungary. Walter Gabriel Sequeira has a ratio of 60%, which is the highest Yarde will have faced. Again, majority of those were against Argentinian bums.

That being said he needs to up the level of opposition now, personally I’m not watching one of his fights until it’s against an opponent I’ve heard of. It’s inexcusable now there’s opponents out there for him at every level yet he’s still being matched with these plumbers and electricians.
