Comments Thread For: Anthony Yarde Plans For a Big KO To Celebrate Adidas Deal

ANTHONY YARDE insists that boxing will always be his first priority after signing a global deal with Adidas. The unbeaten Ilford knockout artist has become a Global Brand Ambassador for the sportswear giants, but knows ring business must come first. Yarde (16-0) hopes to mark the landmark deal with his 16th KO in 17 fights when he defends his WBO Inter-Continental Light-Heavyweight crown against Argentinian Walter Gabriel Sequeira (21-4) at the Brentwood Centre on Saturday October 20th.

This union is contradictory : Shoe Brands are about campaigns, ambition, goals ; Anthony Yarde is the total opposite of these ideals in the world of boxing -- Complacent and fulfilled at the mediocre, pitiful euro-level.

Naz was boxing in massive Madison Square Garden bills.... this guy 'Brentwood' lol. Suprised adidas taken a interest, im guessing he needs the sponsors to make up the income as good ole warren aint putting him in with any known names anytime soon.

ADIDAS signed him purely for superficial reasons - he definitely looks the part. Maybe this'll serve as inspiration to up his progression, as the sponsors will soon leave if he keeps fighting doormen and pub-brawlers.

Good for Yarde, dude has a chance to be a draw.

He has limited experience in the amateurs so he is learning on the job.

Not many boxers get deals with major shoe brands so that is massive for him.

                I am a fan

I have to disagree my man, Shoe brands are about marketing and perceived value so actually it’s a great fit.

There is no denying that Yarde looks the part and he is doing the job that is put in front of him at the moment.

I’m for any fighter making more money, boxing is the hardest profession on earth.
