Why did people wanted Floyd to fight GGG? That's like Leonard going up to fight Tyson

I guess I'm one of the few that thought Mayweather would have no problem with Golovkin. He looked slower and way more predictable than Canelo. He wouldn't catch Mayweather with anything significant because Mayweather's defefensive skills are better than anyone else he faced. In the first fight he could hardly land anything on Canelo. In the second fight Canelo stood infront of him and traded and yet he didn't do much better. Golovkin is a fighter that likes a stationary fighter who would start wilting as soon as he starts punching. Once he sees punches coming back he starts to second guessing himself. I don't think Mayweather could've hurt him but he would be deceptive enough to have Golovkin swing at air quite a bit. The story would be the much younger Golovkin was too old and Mayweather waited for him to pass his prime.

You must have forgot Leonard moved all the way to Super MW to fight Donnie LaLonde for his LHW title and the new WBC SMW title. Also fought Hagler at MW, a far better fighter than GGG.

GGG offered to come down to 154 to fight Floyd. Sergio Martinez offered to come all the way down to 150 to fight Floyd for his 154 title. Crickets.

Before 1st Canelo fight known white supremacist Dempsey had Gennady as the GOAT at MW and Top 10 EVER.

Now hes just a tomato can.

              Typical GennaDIVA fanboyism

Floyd was a champion at 154. Golovkin said he'll come down to 154 to fight Floyd. The end.

This thread is dumber than most of the garbage we see on NSB. Golovkin is a natural SMW? How'd you manage to pull that out of your ass? He's never struggled making weight, came in at 158 several times, always weighs less than 170 30 days out of the fight and on fight night.

                    Yeh for sure.
Ward and GGG were same weight classes or close enough
Another gold nugget of knowledge. During 2004 Olympics, Ward fought at LHW and Golovkin fought at MW. Ward was 20 years old during 2004 Olympics, Golovkin was 22. When Golovkin competed at age 20, he competed at Light Middleweight.
