To all the people saying why would they sign a fight before Dec 1.. Well they don’t have to. Just start negotiation so come Dec 1 the deal has been reached and fight can be signed ASAP. If they refuse to even meet to just “NEGOTIATE” a fight then they are ducking!

why negotiate until you've knocked out the second biggest name in british boxing?

that is what they are thinking right now. eddie wants to pick an unreasonable spot to make the fight, and when wilder's team doesn't negotiate he wants to paint it as a duck.

ever notice how one guy is using the media for spin literlaly every day, and the other is promoting a pay per view in las vegas?

they had a WHIRLWIND tour. two continents, two different parts of the US. eddie literally called for the meeting during that tour .

you can't be this dumb. you guys just can't be this dumb.

I think at least an initial response of interest to the contract offer needs to be sent before the Fury fight, even if it has to be done on the quiet by Finkel (with conditions that Hearn also keeps his mouth shut) so as not to distract Wilder. To get a decent press tour and an uninterrupted training camp in before 13th April, they've got to be ready to go public by 01st Jan in my opinion.

dude, you are not htinking when you type.

you don't negotiate until you have a strong hand. period. eddie wants to make this fight right now, and make it look like wilder is ducking if he doesn't. it is not smart to make the fight right now, you have a lot less leverage than you'll have in 2-3 months.

this "offer" is contingent upon a wilder win. don't you think thaty's odd if the winder win doesn't build up the fight or enhance his position?

I'll keep saying this.... the decision by AJ and Hearn to book Joshua in 2 dates at Wembley 7 months apart was a terrible one. You're basically saying "this is when we are going, fight us or not". Now Wilder/Fury go December 1st in a PPV event and they need to see the numbers and the spectacle before they can negotiate a fight with Joshua..... it might make more money in the U.S after Wilder/Fury, if it's a FOTY and given a proper promotion off the back of that.

No they don’t mid January beginning of February to get it signed and do 3 city tour like most typical big fights and still leaves 12 weeks to train and prepare

Actually I'm thinking pretty clearly. All I know is what I've read - that this offer is supposed to be more favourable to Wilder than the last one. Of course it will be stacked in favour of AJ as it's come from from his promoter, and it's a promoters job to get the most favourable deal for his client. If Fury leaves the arena with an oxygen mask on, of course it builds Wilder's rep enough to boost his percentage further. The deal does not have to be finalized before Dec 01st, but confirmation of interest in the date and venue with TBC on exact split, officials and publicity tour is achievable by that point.

This is bigger than most other "big" fights though so a 3 city tour may not be enough - especially as they want this to sell in more than just UK and USA. In addition to London, New York and LA they'll probably add in Tokyo, Dubai and someplace in Africa (probably Abuja in Nigeria) at the very least and maybe a couple of others.
