The big change has been that Wilder has done a good job improving his profile and building the fight That's why he got the better offer.
Hearn's points are fair. Don't forget AJ has a lot of mandatories to cover so he can't leave things to the last minute.
The only way to interpret the W team not even meeting is that they believe that with the F fight in the bag W's profile is constantly building and hence their negotiation position. They are right about that but this isn't the smartest way to go about it.

I think at least an initial response of interest to the contract offer needs to be sent before the Fury fight, even if it has to be done on the quiet by Finkel (with conditions that Hearn also keeps his mouth shut) so as not to distract Wilder. To get a decent press tour and an uninterrupted training camp in before 13th April, they've got to be ready to go public by 01st Jan in my opinion.

WBC makes it up as they go
IBF won’t call theirs and even then they give you 9months and an extension as long as you are willing to take on their mandatory after it
WBO will just price their belt higher of a sanction fee to overlook a mandatory.

Sending something now is totally premature let alone saying it needed to be done before Dec 1st. If Joshua was in wilder spot right now Hearn wouldn’t be doing this type of deal till he’s got concrete proof that he can get more in time than shooting his load off now.
Add in to the mix that promoters trust each other as much as they would trust an armed crack-head at their backs, and would each sell their grannies to the organ donor black-market as long as they got a decent price.

BUT when you have a promoter playing games and flip flopping the way Hearn has, he is the REAL reason we aren't getting it if it doesn't happen.

How do you try to negotiate with Wilder, while he's promoting and preparing for a fight with Fury.
And then follow-up that ******, idiotic move with another one, by making media statements that Wilder's Team won't talk to him, while they're promoting an upcoming fight with Fury.
I'm guessing that for the mentally challenged, this counts as Wilder's fault, for not breaking away from the matter at hand, to cater to Hearn's horrible timing and insincere gestures.
