Deontay Wilder vs Dustin Nichols - Knockdown or NO Knockdown? [Video]

The ref awarded no knockdown / slip and unfortunately he obscures the view right at the precise moment of when Wilder fell, split second after his opponent swung a one-two, and a thudding sound can just about be heard prior to the fall. Incidentally this fight happened in the same year as when Wilder was reportedly knocked down and hurt quite badly against Sconiers, in 2010!

Who cares? He's the champ and Ortiz didn't drop him when it mattered at the highest level.

Wilder claims the Sconiers knock down was a rabbit punch and that his neck had visible swelling after the fight. Don't know if that's true or simply damage control, though.

It don't matter anyways. All that matters is how the fight ended.

Absolutely no knockdown, Wilder just tripped over himself and lost balance, exactly like when he hit at AJ dummy:

Punch caused him to fall down. IE, a knockdown.

even if he was knocked down as a result of a punch, it was more due to his horrible balance. inconsequential anyway.
