I see Ortiz winning the first half of the fight, but if Whyte can survive he can stop Ortiz late.... the same prediction I had for the Wilder fight pretty much. Blueprint is there now, take him deep , survive then finish him. Who knows how much Ortiz has declined since the Wilder fight?
That's the problem. Ortiz doesn't waste punches. He is an accurate counter puncher. He would welcome for Whyte to take the lead so he counter the Hell out of him. Ortiz is the better counter puncher who is also the more scientific and the more fundamentally defensively sound of the two fighters too.

Close to a 50/50 as you'll see right now.

Ortiz ASSUMING he will still be relevant in his upper 40's and whyte continuing to get sharper by the fight..its a toss up really bc we don't know who will be what.

I believe whyte certainly has the advantage in mental edge bc despite what you WANT to believe Ortiz turned this fight down 2 years ago and this year wanted more time to prepare for a July 28th fight which Parker took.

Betting odds should favor Ortiz bc one could argue he and wilder is still a 50 /50 fight.

Whyte showed he can beat other champions as well and he is by far more active against actual live opponents.

I have a feeling Whyte is going to squeak this out in another nail biter and show he much better then what others think, which wont matter bc Ortiz will be 50 by the same guys picking him to win should that happen...we KNOW this..lol

Add to that that he's a southpaw. Any southpaw will trouble any orthodox fighter until he adjust to his style. Wilder has fought 2 southpaws and he had trouble with them until he adjusted to them and he KOd them.

Yep. He's learned a lot from that fight and Whyte is now facing the best version of Ortiz ever. Ortiz is in his prime, Whyte might be slipping a little bit and Cubans never lie about their age.

Do you want to bet? Ortiz is going to tune his ass up.

There is gonna be a lot of Ortiz ‘fans’ who will want their cake and eat it here.

He was an old man with hypertension when he fought Wilder. Yeah he’s a good fighter but as several have said - it’s a young man’s game.

Whyte is a good, game and strong fighter
