In fairness the run up is always more fun to watch then the run down. But yea lotsa mfers don't like the ground sh^t. I'm a MMA fan & watch fights regular, but I still am not a fan of the ground sh^t all that much. Specifically guys like Khabib who lie **** to **** with dudes doing not a fooking thing for far too long. Either smash a mfer or submit him or gtf back up is what I wanna see.
WOW! Mcgregor vs Khabib PPV sales did over 2 million!

It ain't for everyone, man. I often find the groundwork fascinating, and there can be a great deal of subtlety in there, but in this case it was just Conor doing his best to survive and not being particularly successful. I guessing you ain't got any grappling background?

I mean, the same thing happens in boxing, when a fighter who's getting dominated throughout the fight, and start being just a little bit more competitive in some round so it's given to him in the end.
But I get your point. Officially, Khabib never lost a round before, but eye test would probably say that Tibau and Iaquinta did better than ConorComment

Fair play on Khabib trying to prove a point. You might be right.
Yea I think that fight that can't seem to happen with Ferg will be an interesting contrast of styles to. Ferg is more more well rounded. I think thats a close fight.
And randomly I think Kevin Lee could be the guy who beats Khabib too. Kevin Lee just keeps getting better & I don't think we've seen the best of him yet. He took a L to Ferg, but he gave him hell for a lil while with a f#cking staph infection ffs. Who's even crazy enough to fight with staph? No many dudes thats for sure.
Dude has an iron will and is insane off his back and has an overall crazy grappling skillset.
Speaking of crazy, who has a catastrophic injury and comes back in 6 months to fight Pettis lolComment

You mean floyd and pacquaio? Manny and pacquaio is the same single person lolComment

only $3 mil (not including bonus and ppv). disgusting! tony ferguson fought a war against pettis blood everywhere and tony only got $205k! lol. the worst guy in boxing is getting paid more than that. UFC is ripping their fighters off big time! i feel bad for tony ferguson and anthony pettis. after medical bills they'll prolly be left with peanuts.Comment

cong****, that is a ton of ppv buys for MMA, which has a super young audience demographic compared to boxing. probably 5-10X as many people streamed or downloaded it illegally.Comment

It's actually 2.8 million PPV sales. Just short of the 3 million mark.
And the rematch would do in excess 4 million PPV sales after the stuff that went down after the fightComment

UFC/MMA biggest 2018 event doubled boxing 2018 biggest event in terms of PPV sales.
Canelo vs Golovkin 2 did 1.1 million PPV sales. Wilder vs Fury is expected to do at most 500,000 PPV sales while Mcgregor vs Khabib did at least 2 million PPV sales.
Thoughts?
