Comments Thread For: Rocky Fielding: I'm Big at 168-Pounds, Confident I'll Beat Canelo!

WBA "regular" super middleweight champion Rocky Fielding is still a bit stunned that he secured a showdown with Mexican superstar Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez. Last week, Canelo announced his intention to move up to 168-pounds to challenge Fielding for his title on December 15 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

This is why I hate multiple belts. Why fight Fielding? There are waaay better fights at 168 for Nelo. Waste of time fight.

Let him fight an easy opponent. His last opponent was not easy. Let him get easy money.

Why did RJJ fight Ruiz instead of Lewis?

Other than the 6' 3" hard hitting Smith, who would you rather he fight? Canelo "should" win this but Rocky may surprise. Canelo is nothing at all like the guy who beat Fielding.

I don't think anyone thinks fielding stands a chance, not even his hometown liverpool fans think it because callum smith who is also from liverpool knocked him out in 1.

I give him a 5% chance to win. 25% chance he goes the distance.

Canelo is short and powerful especially with Mexican beef. He has fought at 152lbs before so I don't know how powerful he can be at 168. If Fielding is a decent fighter he could prove to be heavy handed against the smaller guy the way Groves found out.

Boxing is about levels. Canelo is levels above Fielding - he's in the p4p top 5, some have him at 1. Regardless of the fact he's nothing like Callum Smith, it will be a total mismatch. Canelo by KO, probably within 8.
