Fielding was ko'd in 1 round by Smith, that should tell you all you need to know about this guy Canelo wants to fight.

Gilberto and Mauricio are like two piglets climbing over each other to get to the same teat, man.

This ****'s just getting more and more cringeworthy.

      Gilberto:

[The fact] that he made a decision to go against Rocky Fielding, it leaves me speechless and fills me with pride, that he's decided to take this path. I can only wish him luck, thank him for his loyalty and he knows that the WBA is his family."
      Mauricio:

“We are living in a different world. I am happy because Canelo is at home [with the WBC].

I'm quite a fan of Canelo after his great win over GGG, but this Fielding fight is even worse than a Lemieux fight. If he wanted to show more greatness in beating a super middleweight champ, why not challenge Callum Smith.

Smith > Groves > Eubank Jr > Fielding.... U.K rankings.

This is a strange move by Canelo to grab a worthless title in a 3rd division.

damn, the bar in boxing on what it means to create a legacy or daring to be great has really been lowered. Moving up to fight a guy that is ranked #9 in his division and who was ko'd in 1 round by the #1 guy in the division is considered a legacy move? Smh

Is he using this as a clever way to break uk market too? Take on fielding and then smith at Wembley or anfield? If he uses that route he has a ready made Ppv opportunity with sky sports and Eddie Hearn. Not only that if he chooses to use DAZN he actually will be marketed across all their countries so potentially opens other markets up too?

For a two fight deal he may earn less now and more in the future for two relatively easy - but huge - fights.

Clever move if he does that to me!
