Crazy how poorly attended boxing is in the US though, 2 world title fights and 2 other top 10 in their division guys. Ritson's sold more tickets for next weekend fighting for the EBU title.
Attendance for Jessie Vargas-Thomas Dulorme

Two title fights who exactly who though? Roman has no fan base at all, Beterbiev isn't selling any tickets, Vargas has no base and Miller isn't selling any tickets in Chicago. The location of this card wasn't good, but Adamek salvaged it as well as he could.Comment

I was there at the show I don't buy that attendance there was maybe 3,800 tops and many of them left after Adamek lost keep in mind that the capacity is 10,500 and the arenas top layer was completely unused and blocked offComment

Not necessarily it's just Hearn can't promote well here in the States For Example Broner vs Vargas at Barclays nearly sold the arena out while the next Week his Show with Jacobs who's a NY native on same venue make 6-7k in attendanceLast edited by ELHITMAN606; 10-07-2018, 05:21 PM.Comment

I've always thought population density, among other factors, play into attendance when comparing countries against each other for something like this.
Like the UK gots 8x more people in a sq mi on average than we got in the US. Even though some big cities in the US are packed with more people then big cities in the UK with 8x more people per sq mi it'll equal out real fast with more people closer to a specific event real quick. So basically the more people closer to an event the more likely they are to show up at said event cuz its less far to travel one would assume.
I think that reality alone can make a difference with asses in seats.
Add in the seemingly higher % of hardcore fans & casual fans & it makes it easier to find fights that 10k+ fans will show up for on a random Saturday night when there are so many different things vying for your attention.
Many other factors, but I think population density alone is a huge factor.Comment

This thread can't possibly be real. They were giving away tickets left and right. The building looked empty on TV. There were probably 6,235 tickets out there, but I'd be shocked if they sold more than 3,000.Comment

PBC routinely draws huge crowds for high prices in New York.
The problem with these Matchroom USA shows is that they don't have any fighters Americans care about.Comment
