    Attendance for Jessie Vargas-Thomas Dulorme

Per ESPN, attendance for Jessie Vargas-Thomas Dulorme at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago was 6,235.

The crowd was pretty active too.

Does this mean Vargas is a bigger draw than we thought, or was Chicago just primed for a show?

Word is they were handing out tickets left and right a week out. And seems like almost half of the crowd left after the Adamek fight. So no, Vargas is no draw in Chicago.

What was the gate revenue? Thats what matters. Asses in seats look nice, but $ signs mean more.

I mean there was a reason he was used as a sacrificial lamb. Chicago has the biggest Polish community outside of their capital I believe. Or at least outside of Poland. Without him, you may not have sold 2k.

Yea I think I heard someone say that in some video I watched earlier. Mighta been Hearn actually. But yea I used to live in Chicago & been to plenty a show there & that Polish audience is for real & loyal. I could see them leaving after Adamek fought.

It was the whole point of him being on the card, to draw the Polish. Szpilka turned it down

Yep. Thats why Polish dudes fight there all the time. Fonfara has had plenty of fights there to solid crowds. Even lower level cats like Maciej Sulecki & Patryk Szymanski have fought there several times iirc. Thats not by accident. When I lived there Andrew Golota was a solid draw from his early fights.

They had the worst date in the world going head to head with Conor McGregor.

I like what Hearn and Dazn are doing by hyping and showing all fights. I hope they stick to this strategy even if the vast majority of people only show up for the main event.
