Can Hughie Fury win a decision over Pulev in Bulgaria?

Hughie Fury with his defensive style running around the ring throwing mostly jabs, that's not going to get the job done. He needs to have a different game play and definitely engage much more.

Do you give Hughie a good chance to beat Pulev in Bulgaria?

If he is good enough he will - I see no reason for there to be a dirty decision over there as Pulev is hardly a big star so judges should be fine.

If Hughie 'Shades of Ali' Fury can throw/land more than 2 jabs a round like against Parker he is in for a shot. He needs to plant his feet more and put more power into his shots and not look like he is running away from a fight for 12 rounds

He's so feather fisted that it's hard to make an argument for him sometimes. Like the Parker fight. Doesn't matter if you LOOK like the better boxer, if you apply zero power then don't expect favorable decisions in pro boxing.

Yes he can and I think he will. Pulev is old and hasn't fought in over a year.

Fitting username seeing as how we are in a Hughie Fury thread

I don't think he's good enough to win fairly. If it turns out he is, I think he'll get the nod. If not, it gives us something to argue over for a few weeks.

Hughie quits on his stool late with a Rigo-like injury is my prediction

Phantom jabs typically don't win fights, no.

I'm not sure he will deserve to win a decision to get one in the first place. I don't get this Hughie Fury hype. Big Tyson Fury fan, but Hughie Fury is a garbage fighter. He's quick & thats pretty much it. He can't punch for sh^t. He doesn't have that Tyson caliber ring IQ. He doesn't seem to be able to sit down on a punch if his life depended on it.

That said Pulev is older now & has been inactive so it wouldn't be crazy if Hughie's quickness wins the day, but I think this is a pretty 50/50 fight seeing these two as they are right now.

I cant imagine Hughie actually being mandatory. Hughie Fury's best shot is if he gets judge Beat Hausammann from Pulev vs. Chisora, that had Pulev barely beating Dereck Chisora by SD ( 113-115), even though Kubrat completely dominated the Brit.

Pulev never lost a clear UD, so out-boxing him would be remarkable if Kubrat is in good shape for this ; a KO by the light-puncher would be recommended and at the very least a knockdown would help Fury's stock.
