Obviously just testing the waters at SMW, but still to be commended for going in there that soon after the GGG battle royale. And while his opponent has a very solid punch... Fielding is simply too easy to hit. This will end mid-rounds likely. Interesting and fun fight though while it lasts. Curious to see what the rest of the card looks like. AND of course what his next move after this one will be.

GGG is the one never willing to challenge himself.

So this will force Golovkin to take the Charlo bout? It sounded like GGG wanted to face Canelo next.

There is no shame in being unaware of fighters from the past,
but I would have expected more from somebody who uses
Hagler's name in their profile.

I have no problem with this fight, Canelo is coming back quickly and deserves from my perspective a fight like this. But this isn’t a good fight. Fields is a stiff.
Canelo isn't fighting someone coming off a 2 year layoff where he went 3-3 at JMW before dragging him up to 160 to fight on 2-weeks notice. Vanes was also never a champion in his entire career
See how simply moving up to 168 to fight a CHAMPION is different from Vanes? It's night and day.
As you mentioned also it's a quick turnaround.
How can anyone not like this fight? It's better than NOT fighting ffs...and it's gonna be on basic cable !!

Its because they have no excuses left for triple L. They can no longer regurgitate this: "ggg only cares about the belts, hes a true mw people's champ, not businessman like canyellow, ggg fights for honor not money,he would rather fight Kell Brook at full mw because canelos disrespecting the sport with a cw" they can no longer say"if Canyellow stopped ducking ggg hed get kod by rd 7(able sanchez gem btw)
Nowadays they'd rather cry about what canelos doing(despite his whole career shītting all over L's resume).
Deryevchenko:"gimmie my belt putavich",ggg: "I was just keeping it warm for you boss, honest; I only put it on to make sure its ready for you,...Able go get that bum off the floor he's my next opponent"
GGG said he would only go down in weight for Floyd @ 154..."for honor" and I'm sure not for "business".
GGG accused Canelo of being a "businessman" before the 1st fight then held out in the 2nd fight over..."business" (requiring an even split of PPV)
GGG said he couldn't fight Ward because he wasn't popular enough. He also required a 164 catchweight (something GGG refused to do for Canelo, Cotto, and Kell Brook - all smaller fighters) while offering to fight at 168 for Froch and JCC Jr.
A spade's a spade. And a CUCK's a CUCK.
Gennady Daddy Ca$hnelo aka Mr. Middleweight Ca$hnelo aka that Ginger lit Triple L up like a Christmas Tree

You are really stretching this champion bit LOL! No one is buying Fielding as a champion.
Canelo gets a gimme fight IMO, no issue with that. I had no issue with Golovkin fighting Vanes given the circumstances. I did not give him any credit for the win nor will I give Canelo for beating this stiff. Both are terrible fights that I understand.
It is better than no fight because as a fan of boxing I’ll watch top end fighters even if they are beating up stiffs. I won’t pay of course. As for making notable history it is no better than not fighting in my book.
Just like I said with Golovkin and Vanes, let’s see what he does after this fight. That’s what really matters. Get your pay day gimme fight and then get back to real fights.

Canelo and Golovkin will do what they want. If they want another fight they’ll do it on their terms.
