Nothing but sore GGG fans - losers this is really smart business. Look at Pacs belts not all were vs the best belt holder at the time. Diaz was the weakest at the time. I heard no complaints. GGG fans over taking butt hurt title from Pacquiao fans for being most pathetic. Or are they one and the same?

Taking away Canelo's merits means you also think little of Pacquiao's accomplishments as it is the blue print. Fight over the hill marque names , immobile, slow plodding come forward fighters with no power. The only athletic black fighter Pac fought was the light hitting Bradley.

A larger SMW Fielding who is not coming off a 2 year layoff, has not gone 3-3 at JMW (a lower weight class), and who won't be fighting on a 2 week notice is unquestionably a better opponent than Vanes. There is no debate - I am telling you.

Canelo has fought nearly 20 champions at age 28 including a Top 20 ATG in Floyd and was lineal at JMW. All the relevant MW are currently tied up so Canelo is taking a promo fight on a quick notice.

When it comes to "real" fights Canelo makes them happen. It is only Golovkin that ducks real fights like Andrade, Dervenchenko, Ward, Cotto, Lara, etc.

There is no shame in being unaware of fighters from the past,

am 48 and Lalonde lost to almost every name fighter he was in with....forgetable lhw who had very padded record with many ko's of tomato cans.

So Fielding is maybe a tad less crappy than Vanes. Okay have at it. Celebrate that LOL! Now in all honesty have you watched any of Fielding’s fights or did you just happen to look at Boxrec?

You are a Canelo’s homer. You bring up all this stuff that I never asked about. You are pitching a case for what?

This is a crap fight and everyone but the most fanatical Canelo fans are trying to pitch it. It is a Vanes like opponent, a total mismatch. All that said I have no problem with it. I understand it.

Interesting fight,, a rubber match against Chris Eubank Jr would have been more enticing

Fielding, a SMW, which is larger than Canelo is a significantly better fight than Vanes - not a "tad".

Fielding is 6-0 in his last 6 fights (all at SMW), last fight in July of this year (5 month turnaround), and will have an 8 week training camp against a smaller fighter.

Vanes was 3-3 in his last 6 fights (all at JMW) as he prepared to move up in weight against TripLLLe although he hadn't fought a single fight in more than 2 years time and would take this first fight at MW on 2 weeks training camp notice.

Theres nothing "tad" about it, boy

In one of his books, Teddy Atlas tells some interesting stories
about Lalonde. Apparently, Atlas once waited in the shadows
outside of Lalonde's home, with a loaded gun, intent on
murdering Lalonde. Fortunately, Lalonde never came home
and Atlas had time to rethink his decision.
Some people don't know Lalonde, but Atlas almost made him
                    famous!

He is a terrible opponent. If you didn’t have your head so far up Canelo’s rear you’d see it.

I noticed how you basically acknowledged you haven’t even seen Fielding on video.

But go ahead and try to convince everyone this is a good fight. LOL.
