Here are a couple note worthy quotes from Fat Boy Dan's piece.

    http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/i...ing-determined

De La Hoya told ESPN on Monday night that he is talking to a variety of outlets interested in the services of Alvarez, the biggest pay-per-view attraction in boxing.

"In the next couple of weeks we will have a major announcement and it will be great for boxing, great for Canelo and great for Golden Boy. We are talking to everybody," De La Hoya said.

De La Hoya was responding to comments made by promoters such as Bob Arum of Top Rank and Matchroom Boxing's Eddie Hearn about their efforts to sign Alvarez to a co-promotional deal with Golden Boy in order to have Alvarez to fight on the platforms they have deals with. Top Rank is tied to ESPN and Matchroom Boxing with sports streaming service DAZN.

"I won't do a deal with Bob Arum or a deal with Eddie Hearn for Canelo," De La Hoya said. "I'm going to go directly to the [platform] and make a deal. I don't need another promoter. We are the promoter of the biggest star on the planet."
He can do his own deal with DAZN. Canelo and Golden Boy don't have to sign any co-promotion with Hearn. They can say to DAZN "you want Canelo, we want x dates a year, and x amount of millions"

Right, WBSS is being shown on DAZN and that doesn't involve Hearn.

But I can't see Canelo going on DAZN. That's just don't happening as it doesn't maximize his worth.

This is a package deal regardless of where he goes. GBP needs at least four to six dates to go along with their facebook live cards. Who can give them at?

Yeah, the PPV is sticking point. With DAZN, they could have 52 dates if they want, no problem there. Got deep pockets, and pretty damn desperate. But how do you get around the PPV?

You just can't do it. And a lot of the boxing audience in the states is still 40 and above. Those people aren't going to want to buy it on the app as they don't know nor are they aware of how to get it on your TV set. If he fights say Charlo, that PPV is doing over 500k buys. Lets say it does 600k and $75 bucks. Then you are making over $22 million in PPV sales after the cable distributors get their split. DAZN is going to be putting up that much money for one card? Then add in Charlo's purse and UC purse, it just doesn't add up. He's not going to do that, especially on a start up streaming service.

That's the only way it can happen according to Oscar is if DAZN pony's up money outside of Hearn deal and works directly with Golden Boy and those cards will have nothing to do with Hearn. Same with ESPN they have to cut a deal outside of Top Rank. But both Hearn and Arum were speaking about bringing in Canelo as if Golden Boy will just be co-promoters to them as if they are cutting the deals. Oscar made it clear Arum and Hearn won't be in the picture if the networks want Canelo they deal directly with Golden Boy cutting Arum and Hearn out of the loop.

Oscar and Espinoza have beef. Obviously, money can get around any beef but Oscar could potentially not want to do business with Showtime again.

                    What?

I seen people post him staying at HBO or going to ESPN because GBP already dealing with ESPN

Showtime is in the Mix as well as DAZN, I'm sure they all want Canelo as they SHOULD! Not sure why people are assuming he is going to DAZN because he is fighting Rocky Fielding

You are the typical delusions dirty ginger rider. He squeaks by two fights against GGG and in the rematch you be others were claiming dirty ginger was going to ko him. Yet that never even came close and you are acting as if canelo won 10
Of the 12 rounds in some type of schooling similar to the one Floyd gave canelo. It’s pathetic get a life man.
