Both want to win so the beef isn't fake. Fury wants to get into wilder head.
Wilder wanted to try not take fury too serious but then wilde r did lose cool when he tried not to.
You can tell that these two are going to become friends after their careers are over if not before. And I have been saying for the longest that Fury is the closest thing that we have had to Ali in terms of showmanship.
I don't know where fans got this idea that fighters can't be cool with each other, and still want to beat/destroy the guy in front if them. There's a long history of boxers who were friends (or who had mutual respect for each other) meeting in the ring.
Ali and Fraizer were cordial initially (although the gorilla and Tom jokes made things hostile). Spence just basically retired Peterson despite the close relationship he had with Lamont and Barry.
The presser nonsense is just part of selling a fight. All the complaining about a "fake" beef needs to stop.
Conor and Floyd were basically hugging in their buildup and gave us some of the worst commentary I've ever seen. Despite that, casuals loved it lol
must be the new breed. Boxers rarely hate eachother. Gatti and Ward were incredibly close until Gatti died. They used to go out drinking together before and after camp started to fight each other.
I don't know exactly why, but this is turning out to be the fight I want to watch the most this year in spite of its bullshìt appearances and obvious clowning.
Truly hoping that Fury keeps his mind intact until fight day.
Its the best fight of the year two men and three real judges not VEGAS judges
Wilder and Fury both like to talk and are egomaniacs ,thats why they like eachother.
That is true.
However, in all this pre-fight meetings, showdowns and promotional stuff, THE ONLY INTERESTING AND ENTERTAINING ONE is Fury.
Fury is ARTICULATE, coherent, witty, smart, funny, HE DOESN'T USE IGNORANT FILLER WORDS AND EXPRESSIONS, he is truly a very entertaining and bright person. He could easily be a late night host, a comedian, a Hollywood actor, he is a TRUE PERSONALITY and he is definitely a well-read well-spoken individual.
Whereas Wilder is almost the exact opposite: inarticulate, boring, repetitive, uninteresting, he uses tons of depressing and low-intelligence American English filler words all the time such as "you know" "baby" "y'all" "like I said before" and tons of others, which make it EMBARRASSING AND ANNOYING to listen to him even a single minute. And then that gangster-like African American inflection in his speech, pretty much the same as the likes of Mayweather Jr., the kind of word usage and inflection that has demeaned TRUE standard original American English into a horrible street lingo.
Just hearing Fury talk, so flawlessly and then listening to the embarrassing Wilder "comebacks" in super-ignorant fashion, just screaming and repeating idiotic stuff over and over, plus the truckload of useless and annoying filler words, makes one easily realize that the ONLY real promoter of this fight is Fury. Just listening to his witty and funny chatter is worth watching these theatrical, wrestler-like pre-fight shows.
It is true that in the ring, the BORING ONE will surely be Fury, just running and circling the ring all fight long. But when it comes to being a true personality, HE IS ONE, whereas Wilder is just EMBARRASSING to listen to.
For the record that is not my opinion of all African-American boxers, there have been in history many very articulate and witty ones. But Wilder IS NOT one of them by any means, and it really pisses me off to read people, Americans for sure on here, using PLURALS to describe the wit and entertainment that has taken place during the promotion of this fight, as if Wilder had anything to do with it, when in fact it has been all Fury, because he is the articulate one, so much so that one can even put up with Wilder's horrible spoken English which like I've repeated to exhaustion, is really EMBARRASSING to listen to, just to keep listening to Fury's very bright antics.
I mean even Muhammad Ali, who according to many sources, had an under-average IQ, was incredibly witty, although too loud and he used a lot of slang and repetitive stuff, but he was still very interesting to listen to, and he didn't use that many annoying filler words like Wilder does.
Just a very biased opinion here from somebody who hates filler words, repetitive boring speech, getting loud to repeat the same things due to lack of imagination, slang ****** speech, all those things that a manager is supposed to help his boxer eliminate, so he can be at least TOLERABLE to listen to, first, and then help him become MARKETABLE. I am not a fan of Joshua by any means, but the guy is extremely articulate and smart, specially compared to Wilder. He could probably do fine in a battle of wits with Fury. But Wilder is annoying and embarrassing as heck. He should hire somebody to show him how to speak proper English. THEN, only then will he be able to NOT LOOK LIKE A TOTAL IDIOT next to a smart, articulate and entertaining fellow like Fury.
“I love the guy, but I just wanna rip them plaits out of his hair for some reason. I don’t know why, but I’ve been thinking about it for a couple of days. I just wanna grab ‘em and pull ‘em out.”
Why so y'all can have a sleep over and you can re-braid his hair again while Deontay plays Madden whilst smoking some OG kush lol haha
Uhhh guys, I think he might be a h0m0-seck-shoo-all
You've CLEARLY thought this out in detail before.
it's okay we're here for you man, you can come out of the closet now
