I like Mikey. He's got a solid resume beating up B-level fighters. 10 years in boxing and his best fights are? Siri, Broner, Lipnets, Easter...Meh. Not bad. Not great. Not HOF resume, but OK.

He just needs to stop calling out A list fighters. Next time Mikey calls out a name fighter, my eyes will roll so far back in my head I'll be able to see behind me.

And heres the thing, I know its hard to make the big fights. I accept that Showtime didnt want 2 PPVs close together, so Team Mikey decided to do the mando. I dont have any problem with the defense. Lipnets & Easter were both solid fights, Commey is a step down, but OK.

I dont even mind Mikey calling out every A list fighter from 130 to 160. I remain a Mikey fan bc he is a very good boxer (I cant call him a great boxer until he beats another great boxer - if Mikey wants the HOF he needs to step up his opposition)

But for all the d-riding fans, please stop getting all excited when he makes these call outs. Have just a little bit of cynicism. After Cotto, Bud, Linares, Loma, and now Spence, you would think folks would let just a little doubt creep in.

Crawford and Lomachenko fights sucks and they will add nothing to Mikey's legacy. These fights doesn't do anything for him

Let's talk about more intriguing match ups

Golovkin just signed a deal and probably wants an easy opponent next so this option is not so realistic

Usyk might end up fighting Povetkin so he's out of discussion too

I like Wilder's chances since his rematch with Fury fell apart and he needs some new opponent right now, and Mikey might give him that challenge
