Browne said he wants Kownacki but would he take on Parker instead? Alex Leapai? Maybe durable journeyman Gabriel Enguema? He is 8-7 but he is a good nights work for anyone. I have watched several of his fights. He is big, can take a punch & he will throw some leather. He is not a dangerous puncher but he will stand in there & give it a go. A poor man's Kevin Johnson from Spain.

This will likely be the most important fight of Parker's career, at least at this stage of it. Obviously a must win, and it has to be a confidence builder all rolled up into one fight. Many think he's a small HW, but he really isn't that small. At 6' 4", he's about Whyte's size. Obviously a height disadvantage vs Fury, Joshua, Wilder, but vs all the rest he can hang in there. The big question is, can he get above 2nd tier and back up to elite level. IMO he has to be more active in general. Take more chances. His next 2-3 fights are going to tell a lot about how his career goes.

He banked about 15 million from the Joshua & Whyte bouts plus whatever he made in NZLD prior to those fights. He probably banked a few million in the Hughie,Ruiz & Takam fights as well. How motivated is he really? He is 26 & already could walk away from the sport. I hope he invests his money wisely. He doesn’t have to box anymore & can retire now. Everything else is just gravy. That Joshua cash out fight changed everything for both Parker & Charles Martin. How motivated is he really? That is the question.

Parker needs to work on a lot of things but he can get much better. There's no rush for him given his age. If he wants it bad enough he will have 2/3 fights in the next year and work his way back up.

He has all the skills but he needs to develop an A+ punch. If he could develop hooks and the ability to get inside like Povetkin, he can challenge the top guys. He needs to change his style and stay in the pocket more throwing more power shots, become a dangerous fighter looking to destroy people. Focusing on speed, power, explosiveness and a nasty streak will do him wonders.

If he wants a knockout then Browne is the perfect opponent and it's regional.
If he gets caught then I guess he just isn't a world class fighter.
Parker dropped the ball with Whyte imo, it was a tough fight and he practically stopped him in the 12th tho

Parker really needs to upgrade his trainer , even Lennox has suggested it, Barry is a boxing 101 guy , basic, he's not slick and Parker can do slick

I agree, I think he would have just as much power as Povetkin if not more , he needs a better trainer , Freddie Roach I feel like would be good for him, Parker is a short armed fighter and needs Toney style stuff and Barry has him trying to box classically when he's not best equipped for it and isn't always light on his feet

                  Short reach though

Yeah. He seems to try and box and move when his movement is just good, not great, and he doesn't have the height or reach. He also has no real effective counter-punch to pull this off.

He has all the tools just doesn't use them or train correctly. I think a change of trainer is needed as well but Barry is like a father to him so can't see it happening. We seen how effective a come-forward, aggressive approach is in the 12th round vs Whyte. He needs to focus on that and look to do damage mid-range and inside.
