Amir took some good naps in the ring.
Which one is Amir Khan's greatest achievement?

His greatest achievement was showing the world those bambi legs and glass chin.
At least he was able to give us decent boxing gifs.

Hard to defend a guy who got wobbled by Algieri and dropped by Sammy VargasComment

I agree with everything you said. Khan is a conceited jerk who disrespects other fighters and overrates himself to the extreme. He is also a liar,a crybaby and a sore loser. I dislike him more than almost any other boxer. He has no loyalty to trainers either, He did his best fighting with Roach and dropped him. Then Hunter was the greatest trainer ever. Now he is no longer with Hunter either even though Hunter is no longer sick and training other fighters. If he needed the rounds with Vargas he could have stepped on the gas and taken him out in round 12 if he is half as good as he claims to be. He has become a cherry picking chicken who only wants to fight lousy fighters who can't punch and then get handed a Mayweather or Pacquiao fight he never earned. He has a big money fight with Brook right in front of him for the taking. Brook even agreed to drain himself to 147 just for Khan. But Khan seems to be afraid of Brook for all these years Brook has been challenging him.I used to really root for this guy when he was up and coming. He had a good run against Barrera, Kotelnik, Maidana, Malignaggi and Zab.
He certainly looked like the next big thing in most of those moments. Barely losing rounds.
Everything changed though when he started running his mouth, coupled with mediocre ring performances not even close to backing them up. The likeable things about him, speed, heart etc, soon got totally outweighed by his delusions of grandeur up to a point it's so easy to hate him and root for him to get KOed every outing. Until now it is truly a wonder why and how the few fans he's had left can put up with it.
"I could've taken him out any time out there had I put my feet on the gas. But well I needed them rounds" Amir Khan on his performance against Vargas. That is just Khan being Khan.

Totally. Whatever comes from his mouth for the last 6 years is just straight cringeworthy. His talk to performance/where-he-actually-is ratio is out of this world that you could mistake him from being mentally ill.I agree with everything you said. Come on man, the only one of those that was truly impressive was the win over Maidana, especially how he overcame being on the brink of a stoppage defeat in the tenth round.
Malignaggi was past his best and tailor-made for Khan (a pure boxer with no punching power), Zab was way past his best, and the Barrera fight was a complete farce and should have been a no-contest since he suffered a horrendous gash in the first round and the powers-that-be made sure to wait until four rounds had been completed before stopping the fight so they could hand Khan a points win. It was corrupt. Plus, Barrera was ready to retire and fighting at a weight he never belonged at as well. The Kotelnik win was good, though nothing mind-blowing.
Khan's hand speed and movement can/could give anyone trouble, but he's just too heavily flawed to ever be consistent. He went to hell and back with Lamont Peterson (and lost) for crying out loud. Not to disparage Peterson in any way, he's solid, but if you can't beat him you can't call yourself a top guy in the division.Comment

I wouldn't want to defend Khan as I hate him more than any boxer, but Malignaggi went on to fight for years. Zab went on to fight for years, having good fights over Garcia and Matthysse. Maidana was probably his best career win.Come on man, the only one of those that was truly impressive was the win over Maidana, especially how he overcame being on the brink of a stoppage defeat in the tenth round.

No matter how we view it that was an okay run especially for an up and coming fighter. And was the best part of his career. Not to say they're mind blowing but it was relatively good compare to where he is now or what he has achieved for the last 6 years.
People started to really hate him when became extremely delusional.Comment

Yeah they went on to fight for years, but that doesn't change the fact that they were past their best when they fought Khan - particularly Zab, Malignaggi was more of a style thing and never would have troubled Khan.
Mosley was past his best by the time he fought Cotto, but he still went on for years after that, even having some great moments such as his KO win over Margarito and staggering Mayweather.Comment

no need to explain that they were. like I said either way they were good wins for Khan at that level, past prime or not. thing is Khan kept on making the same level of victories 6 yrs later lolYeah they went on to fight for years, but that doesn't change the fact that they were past their best when they fought Khan - particularly Zab, Malignaggi was more of a style thing and never would have troubled Khan.

worse versions were fought by porter and garcia.Comment

Nah I think Khan's win over Algieri is better than Maidana. At the time Maidana was interim level whose best fight/win was against the then-hot prospect Victor Ortiz. Algieri was coming off a win over red hot Ruslan Provolone and winning a full title and losing to ATG Manny Pacquiao. If you measure those two fighters at the time Khan fought them I just can't see how Maidana was a better winComment
