Yawn. Dig Mikey, but this talking big names (Spence, Cotto, Loma, Linares) bs & then fighting much lesser guys sh^t is getting old. Was gonna fight Gamboa when he was at TR & that fell out to. Its a common theme of Mikey's career.

Good news in the sense that this will most likely lead to a Lomachenko fight. If he moved up to 147 to fight Spence, I don't think he'd a gone back down to 135.

I'm ok with this. Commey lost a couple of questionable SDs (one to a Russian in Russia), but for that he would be 29-0. If Mikey handles him better than an SD, that's something no-one else has done. Good test for Mikey in my book.

Easter, Commey and Shafikov basically fought each other to what could easily have been draws in each case (in spite of the ridiculous scorecards in Easter vs Shafikov), I personally saw Shafikov edging Commey on workrate and volume - dude's like a lil terrier - though Commey landed the more eyecatching shots. I think Shafikov has dropped off a bit now and Easter was probably a nose ahead of Commey but Richard is definitely a solid fighter. It's really not that bad of a fight - it's just that when you run your mouth about Spence it kinda raises the bar on people's expectations.
