Agreed but he only demanded the extra testing once manny became a threat! How the fl omos hide behind that fact is amazing. Manny was a legit threat to Floyd and he knew it so he hid behind his testing bs. I don’t think manny should have gave in at alll. He should have stood firm instead of coming out with bs excuses

I'd love to have a civil intelligent discussion with you about this, so I humbly ask you drop any childish "flo-mo" stuff. Let's just have a chat like respectable adults.

I don't remember when Floyd first asked for additional testing for his fights. It's clear he was convinced Manny was cheating. So if Manny's success is what motivated Floyd's interest in testing, so be it. I personally believe Manny was cheating as well, just as most top fighters were.

50 and 0. Manny got turned into #48. Your bunboy tears taste so delicious still. You wished #48 never fought him and took his inevitable Loss. Deep down you bunboys knew #48 would lose and hoped the fight never happened so you could "win" by saying he ducked. Funny how #48 looked like a whole level lower of a fighter after the testing was brought to the forefront.

I wasn’t referring to you as a flo mo bro. I was just saying in general. I think Floyd manny ggg canelo ward kovo all elite or top lever fighters are on something illegal. There is way too much money for them and their teams to jeopardize that. It seems that you and I are in agreement

I don’t care that manny lost. That fight should have happened 5 years before doe we could have had at least a rematch. I’m not even a fan of manny. I prefer Floyd over manny even before they fought but I keep it real unlike you and countless others. So keep cheering him on and calling manny #48 or whatever I don’t lose sleep over it dude. You just have me confused with pacboy

I understand. Just hoping if we avoid inflammatory language, it might increase the chances of a productive discussion.

Very possible. Most top fighters are on something, and that was especially true when all we had was commission testing.

Manny in particular stands out because of how many weight classes he climbed through. Floyd was so aggressive with testing, and never really went through an unusual number of weight classes, that it's possible he was clean, although I tend to doubt it just because of how successful he was.

I believe Floyd was clean leading up to the Oscar fight. He knew the magnitude of the fight and after that he got like the hulk his head grew and so did his shoulders and back yet he was never questioned.

You have to look at mannys opositon when climbing at that rate. What real threat did he have?
                Clottey
                Margs
                Hatton
                Cotto
                That one 135lber
His opponents were carefully chosen. I’m not saying he was clean but look at his opposition most lacked movement and manny could overwhelm them with his awkward angles and speed

He announced it the day of canelo vs ggg fight cuz he wanted to piggy back of the media buzz and everyone watching the fight (smart). But when it got zero attention. He said he would fight Canelo in a rematch if he wins. Hoping to crate some buzz and get the fans attention. Smart move.

Certainly possible. I've been around combat sports long enough and have seen the rampant drug use among enough top fighters that it's easy to become cynical and just assume everyone is using.

My gut says, as aggressive as Floyd was about testing, and as little weight fluctuation as he had for such a long period of time, that he was spending the big money on things harder to detect, but wasn't a blatant rampant user like some of the fighters who avoided additional testing whenever possible.

Keep in mind to this day, the WBO doesn't do any testing. So for a lot of Pacquiao's fights, he only had to deal with the rinky dink commission tests.

I didn’t know that about the WBO. We need to get ride of all the sanctioning bodies and have just one damn belt per division! That along with the countless promoters is what’s killing the sport. In boxing if you lose once you are a bum hype job. Look at what happened to GGG. In the UFC you can be a reigning defending champ with 4-5 losses.
