I don't remember when Floyd first asked for additional testing for his fights. It's clear he was convinced Manny was cheating. So if Manny's success is what motivated Floyd's interest in testing, so be it. I personally believe Manny was cheating as well, just as most top fighters were.

Manny was a legit threat to Floyd and he knew it so he hid behind his testing bs. I don’t think manny should have gave in at alll. He should have stood firm instead of coming out with bs excuses

Funny how #48 looked like a whole level lower of a fighter after the testing was brought to the forefront.

I think Floyd manny ggg canelo ward kovo all elite or top lever fighters are on something illegal.
Manny in particular stands out because of how many weight classes he climbed through. Floyd was so aggressive with testing, and never really went through an unusual number of weight classes, that it's possible he was clean, although I tend to doubt it just because of how successful he was.

Very possible. Most top fighters are on something, and that was especially true when all we had was commission testing.

You have to look at mannys opositon when climbing at that rate. What real threat did he have?
Clottey
Margs
Hatton
Cotto
That one 135lber
His opponents were carefully chosen. I’m not saying he was clean but look at his opposition most lacked movement and manny could overwhelm them with his awkward angles and speed

He announced it the day of canelo vs ggg fight cuz he wanted to piggy back of the media buzz and everyone watching the fight (smart). But when it got zero attention. He said he would fight Canelo in a rematch if he wins. Hoping to crate some buzz and get the fans attention. Smart move.

My gut says, as aggressive as Floyd was about testing, and as little weight fluctuation as he had for such a long period of time, that he was spending the big money on things harder to detect, but wasn't a blatant rampant user like some of the fighters who avoided additional testing whenever possible.
Keep in mind to this day, the WBO doesn't do any testing. So for a lot of Pacquiao's fights, he only had to deal with the rinky dink commission tests.
