Comments Thread For: Fury: Wilder's Best Opponent 49-Year-Old Ortiz; He's In Trouble

Tyson Fury isn't impressed with any of Deontay Wilder's conquests, not even Luis Ortiz. Fury belittled Wilder's resume Monday, when they kicked off a three-day, three-city press tour to promote their December 1 fight for Wilder's WBC heavyweight title. The lineal champion condemned Wilder for fighting "hand-picked" opponents and struggling against the aged Ortiz in their March 3 bout at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

He's got a point but all these statements were made in one press conference yet there's 5 different head line stores about it and this is one of them.

Fury wasn't impressive against Pianeta so it makes him a big underdog for this fight.

                Fury: Klitschko, Chisora, Hammer

                Wilder: Ortiz, Stiverne

                Joshua: Klitschko, Whyte, Povetkin, Parker

                Povetkin: Hammer, Rahman, Chagaev, Takam

                Ortiz: Jennings, Thompson

                Joshua has the best resume.

Yup! Wilder had a tough fight against an undefeated Ortiz who for whatever reason has endless comments being made about how old he is from the same fighters who wouldn't dare get in the ring with him. Fury is going to be pummeled in this fight and the excuse will be he needed more tune ups. Both Fury and Joshua's claim to fame is beating an old Klitchko and Joshua had to do it after almost getting knocked out! Thank goodness Klitchko gassed and Joshua pulled it out. This is all a circus, Wilder is clearly the best heavyweight today and the most avoided. The only reason Fury is taking this fight is because Joshua wouldn't dare fight him and in the end it's all about making as much money as possible. Fury will get destroyed in less than 8 rounds. Joshua will look to fight another tomato can safely tucked away in England where Hearn can control the outcome

                    Hmm, Occam's razor suggests...

To be fair to him Wilder even apologised in advance if some of the antics were going to appear scripted, doubtless because they are.

                    It's probable been timed out:

                    10am presser begins
10:08 Fury loses temper, makes remark about Wilders can crushing
10:12 both men jostle for 7 seconds for YouTube clip.

                    Etc.

Sadly this sort of pantomime probably helps sell the show
