I don't see why Ortiz would change his age? It's not like he was coming to America to play baseball! Anyway, Wilder should have pointed out that Fury beat a 39-yr. old Klitschko!

Fury wasn't impressive against Pianeta so it makes him a big underdog for this fight.

Fury vs Pianetta was dog sht but Fury didn't lose a single round of the fight, neither lost a single minute.

Showtime had Wilder losing the fight 2-6 rounds after the 8th round.

Wilder tends to get outboxed silly, my point is he outwilled and outyouthed Ortiz who started to gas and feel the pain aftert he 8th round.
I still don't rate Wilder the boxer highly (I do rate the fighter very high)

Fury outboxing Wilder wouldn't surprise me at all unless he get clipped by something big early.

Fury will probably gas out and lose by late KO but he should win on the cards.

I do think Fury is a better fighter than Ortiz, Ortiz marquee wins are Malik Scott and Jennings coming off a loss, then unknown guys.

My main concern about his event is if Fury is still at least 80% of the fighter he was under Peter and pre sickness long lay off.

Fury sure can smack talk brilliantly, very entertaining. He has two months to prep and get in top shape. He'll either surprise and outbox Wilder, or get battered.

Yup! Wilder had a tough fight against an undefeated Ortiz who for whatever reason has endless comments being made about how old he is from the same fighters who wouldn't dare get in the ring with him. Fury is going to be pummeled in this fight and the excuse will be he needed more tune ups. Both Fury and Joshua's claim to fame is beating an old Klitchko and Joshua had to do it after almost getting knocked out! Thank goodness Klitchko gassed and Joshua pulled it out. This is all a circus, Wilder is clearly the best heavyweight today and the most avoided. The only reason Fury is taking this fight is because Joshua wouldn't dare fight him and in the end it's all about making as much money as possible. Fury will get destroyed in less than 8 rounds. Joshua will look to fight another tomato can safely tucked away in England where Hearn can control the outcome

Na bru, Fury isn't getting destroyed, beat down unless he's shot.

Fury might get iced kinda like being badly hurt by a key punch then stopped by a barrage of punches, but he's not getting dominated and beaten on cards.

Ortiz was outboxing him despite being shorter and smaller (guess what, Fury is way longer and slightly faster than Ortiz), Wilder won because of his youth and KO power.

My eyes tells me Fury is at least twice the boxer (from a boxing skills standpoint) Wilder is.
And so does say sparring partners who sparred both, they like OK Wilder has unique power but Fury is hard to touch, a nightmare.

Fury is definitely a better boxer than Wilder, however, his entire game plan is contingent on his opponent being discouraged and not throwing punches. It worked against Klitschko, it didn't against Cunningham (Fury won, but survived as the former cruiserweight floored him after deciding to let his hands go).

Wilder was ahead 1 point on judges cards because he was obviously getting favorable scoring and got some KD points. He got outboxed.

Ortiz getting brought up because he was the only opponent Wilder faced that was some sort of threat.

Fury can fight left handed.

To be fair to him Wilder even apologised in advance if some of the antics were going to appear scripted, doubtless because they are.

Sadly this sort of pantomime probably helps sell the show

which is why him and fury apologized. They know the die hards like us would be put off, yet we will also still be getting the fight either way haha

If Fury fights "left handed" he will eat a left uppercut and get put to sleep. He can switch for a spell, but he's not so comfortable to fight the majority of the fight southpaw.
