They really do rely on fighting from distance. Lennox vs Vitali is a good example. Lennox battered him inside and when they clinched, but I still think he got lucky with the cut.

Loma is brilliant when he's given space to do his magic, but his inside game is non-existent.
Somewhat disagree with Loma, I think he's the most versatile Eastern block fighter I've seen. He shortens his punches very well, and his good defence in the pocket. He's very capable on the inside and will slug it out there as he's proved in some of his fights. The Salido fight was not just about inside fighting, the pressure, pace, and professional experience all played a part imho.

But Loma can fight everywhere, that's why he is one of the two best fighters in the world. Him and TC are a ahead of the others

Inside fighting was moved from the Soviet Amateur boxing school to injuries from headbutting
still the examples do not apply except for Kovalev maybe

yeah, considering in Europe the ref breaks up an inside fight the minute it starts and resets the fighters in the middle of the ring.... its definitely a weakness

Ward did nothing but punch Kovalev in the **** and throw headbutts. He literally KOed Kovalev by punching him in the ****.

GGG isnt an inside boxer and for anyone who thinks it would have been smart for GGG to box inside with a younger faster more technical boxer they're dumb.

And for Loma, he too got **** punched plenty, but did any of you guys actually watch the fight? He may have gotten handled the first half against salido of the but the guy finished strong.
Strong enough to win the decision though it would have been close.

There isnt anything wrong with their style and imo that's how boxing should be. But instead you get dumb **** like Klitscho, or ward, or **** even Mayweather. Then people call that trash boxing.

Jab jab clinch. Jab jab run. Low blow, belt line blow, headbutt.

That's not boxing. GGG did a good job boxing canelo. His back only touched the ropes maybe once? He was circling and pivoting. That's a far cry from the running canelo used in the first match and the style money Mayweather uses. These dudes literally walk corner to corner to corner.

Say what you want about GGG, but his team got in Canelos head. Problem for them was they didnt have the answer because they actually didnt think hed stand and ****.

I'd say that eastern euro boxers dont have a "weakness" as their styles are all different. People just like to talk **** about other races other than their own

holding and hitting and wrestling aren't even legal. of course it's hard to deal with those things. that isn't "inside fighting" unless the definition of inside changed to illegal which it hasn't.

Yeah man. On this forum, geography is the only topic people know less about than boxing.
