What I mean by "know what they're talking about " is that a fighter and alot of trainers have been in the ring themselves and know the different punches and their effects, they know about ring generalship and defense they know exactly what to look for. The judges are trained on what to look for as well they know the criteria for scoring fights. The press does not, and another thing the press all of them I have seen are very partial to Golovkin. Since he came on the scene I have not read one critical article on him by these writers. That to me says a lot about them and their credibility of impartiality when it comes to this fighter.
I am not discounting the opinions of trainers or boxers. I am also not giving them free pass. Did they actually score the fight like a judge or watch it like a fan? Do they have ulterior motives? Does a guy like Jacobs who thought Golovkin won maybe have a little bit of vested interest in saying Golovkin won? How about Andre Ward, is he a straight shooter? IMO no he is not. He has his issues with Golovkin. He said Canelo "broke" Golovkin, that is just dumb ass talk. You can think Canelo won but saying he "broke" Golovkin is straight up BS. Then he goes on to say he didn't score the fight, GTFO Ward.
That isn't to diminish everyone's opinion but if we are going to throw out all the ringside observers opinions and then take every boxers opinion like the Holy Grail I call BS.Comment

That is silly that saying everyone in the press doesn't know. There are plenty of press guys who know boxing. They live and die it too.

And why did I take Jacobs? My point was you need to look at each individual. Again I am not discounting that many (maybe even most) trainers and boxers thought Canelo won. I am just asking how are you basing your MOST claim. I told you how I'm basing my opinion.Comment

Canelo, Mandatory or Rematch
Since Triple G never gave Jacobs a rematch, and Jacobs is facing one of Triple G’s Mandatories in Derevianchenko, this is how I Picture it. Charlo vs Triple G winner Fights Canelo. The winner of Jacobs Vs Derevianchenko Fights Billy Joe Saunders. Then the top two fighters will decide who is the pound for pound Undisputed Middleweight Champ.Comment

The same way you are by what I have seen. I don't deny most media I have seen picked Golovkin because its out there the same way most fighters and trainers I have seen picked Alvarez. And I happen to agree with the fighters, trainers and judges.Comment
