People surprised somehow that Joyce isn’t fast.
No s.hit!
He’s f.uckin enormous.
But what he does have is size, strength, a very good gas tank which is vital at that weight, and an ability to land as well as being just very heavy handed. The shots he clobbered Thomas with were basically arm punches and he took the fight out of
Thomas in a few minutes.
The likelihood is you could probably through this guy in with AJ and he’d have success. They’ve already sparred hundreds of rounds togetherLast edited by Sparked_26; 10-01-2018, 04:14 AM.

Big question mark for me is his chin. His other strengths and weaknesses are very apparent.
He was stopped a few times in the Ams /WSB, and fighting the way he fights with the kind of power that exists at the top of the division, he will need at least a decent chin and or plenty of heart. He was very inexperienced in the Ams though having started late. Other late starters such as Wilder and Joshua were also stopped as Ams and they have gone on to show decent chins as pros (not great, but decent).
I like him though. Easy to focus on the lack of speed and stiffness, but he is awkward as **** to fight and has a horrible rhythm. His gas tank is superb for a massive bloke like him and he throws combinations to any part of his opponent that becomes available. 5 or more rounds with Joyce will feel like a lifetime.
Like to see him take on a fringe contender like a Kownacki type next. Someone who will hit back with a bit of authority and see if the juggernaught is put off course.
Should be fun though. War JoyceLast edited by Tom Cruise; 10-01-2018, 05:29 AM.

Who cares anyway he was knockout this year. He is old damaged goods. His best wins are Bryant Jennings, Malik Scott and Dave Allen

People calling Joyce slow and using it for the reason as to why Ortiz would win are beyond crazy. Why? Because Ortiz is clearly slower. Ortiz may even be the slowest Heavy out there.
Crazy Americans always saying the opposite to what reality clearly is. It's a habit with you guys.

No. He. Isn't. Never has been, never will be.
Ortiz is slow as hell, has 2 rounds of stamina, and has high blood pressure. The activity of Joyce would force Ortiz to work at a pace he most certainly isn't comfortable with. He'll gas out bad and get taken apart.
