The IBA, WBF and countless others have offered them their titles. Yet you don't see those belts involved with the fight do you?

Prove what? That the IBO isn't recognized? What is there to prove? The WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO, HBO, Showtime, ESPN, Sky Sports, BT Sports, Ring Magazine, IBHOF, etc don't recognize the IBO. Nobody does.

i agree with you that its a BS belt but the other poster is right just look at the pic of fury after the klitschko fight where he has the 4 belts in his arms. i wished it wasnt the case but more champions seem willing to accept it, when really they should be telling them to f*** off the last thing boxing needs is more belts.

I don't think you're quite understanding his claim. His claim was that if Fury was champion, the belt would be recognized. We know that isn't true because Fury was champion and the IBO remained unrecognized.

At heavyweight, the IBO doesn't charge a sanctioning fee. They offer their belt, for free, to the star in the division. There's no mandatory defenses either. So if you're Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko, Anothony Joshua or others, it's temping to accept the title to try to trick fans into thinking you have more belts than you do.

So when a fan has been tricked, it's important to remind them that the IBO isn't a world title.

The honest truth is that neither Wilder nor Joshua can compare to Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko, or Rid**** Bowe. Fury and Ortiz are probable the 2 most technically skilled fighters, however all it takes is one good punch when you're talking about HWs. That's why I want to see what Usyk does @ HW! Maybe he can do what Evander Holyfield did @ HW?

I don't agree with you much but I can agree with this. It will be good to see genius level ring IQ and super stamina fairs against phoneminal size and power. Would be nice to see boxing skill means something in the HW division. Any depth that can be added is needed in the HW division and Usyk seems quite a low key funny guy as a bonus.

I also think if Parker could learn or train with Povetkin to get inside quickly and aggressively like Pov did against AJ that'd get him up there with the big boys again.
