Wow DeGale really isnt that confident of himself anymore is he ? This might be the worst opponent of his career...someone who was knocked the **** out at LightweightComment

DeGale making his debut at 175 tonight , He should be target Beterbiev, Alvarez, Stevenson, Bivol the current champions , and you also have Jack , Gvozdyk, KovalevProbably a shrewd move to vacate that belt.
James conceivably is just targrting Smith and Groves and then calling it a day.
He’s had a great career, James. But he’s got to be thinking about exit strategies.
Looking back on it. That DeGale and Groves fight has probably prematurely cut both careers. Not that either sustained any real damage in the fight but because neither could drop off the competition too far after that.Comment

Please... DeGale has had a tough career and sadly to say he already sounds a bit "punchy" and has for a while. He should be looking to cash out with one last big fight against a top British super-middle like Groves, Eubank Jr. or Smith.
The Groves rematch would be the icing on the cake and a fair match-up considering neither are at their peak anymore, but a fight with Eubank Jr. could be just as intriguing and one the public would pay for.
I hope he wins tonight, gets one of these fights next and then retires, win, lose or draw. He needs to get out of the game and if he can do it with one last nice payday all the better for him.Comment

For sure! Can't believe DeGale is fighting at LHW against a Welter...... ranked 472 at Welter by Boxrec, who has been KO'd 15 times. Doesn't look like he's won much (or at all) outside Colombia either just to add that to the mix. Such a mismatch on paper.
Hopefully he can win & set up a payday vs Groves or Eubank and retire. He's had his fair share of wars the past few years and seems to be slipping fast.Comment

That lad saying he should get in there with Beterbiev or anyone at 175 can’t like James very much.
I’d make Degale vs Groves next. Even knowing Groves got stopped in his last contest and Degale will have just beaten a Borrower.
It’ll still sell. I’d still go to the fight myself because if I’m actually a fan of fighter it is likely both of these lads.
At this point I just want both to have a pension fight.
Both are only in their early 30’s but they’re both looking quite vulnerable.
Degale against those names mentioned would car crash tele. James is tough as old boots. He’d get hurtLast edited by Sparked_26; 09-30-2018, 04:17 PM.Comment
