Bruises have nothing to do with the fact that he was hit hard and often by Klitschko, who definitely was not a Rahman, a McCall or a badly faded, drugged Tyson.
Of course, he was reacting. But you can't argue about that fight being a clear sign of Lewis' decline. In fact he was wise enough to quit boxing right after that.Comment

Easy call. There was NO WAY 39yr old part time fighter soft in the tummy Povetkin, who relied on drugs at a certain point during his career (maybe MOST of it) beats a bulky neck Joshua! The youth, size, muscles and decent skilz is/was waaaay too much for WHATEVER skills Ice Cream Popetkin could muster.....Fast Eddie made it out to be more than it ever could be....

If anything, my sentence was an indication of his wisdom; as soon as he started declining - the Klitschko fight being the ultimate evidence - he quit. Just in time, and if you ask me he made the right choice.
What I really could never stand of Lewis is his ongoing bragging about his so-called destruction of Tyson. I find strange that an articulate man like he is still needs to aggrandize that cheap win over a D-level version of Iron Mike, full of psychotropic drugs and with his mind and guts not there anymore for the sport.Comment

He equipped himself well and fought a good fight although him even getting a shot was contentious to say the least.Comment

Due to his drug-use you mean? He's certainly in the top bracket skill-wise. I'd pick him against Whyte and Parker and would probably edge towards Povetkin against Ortiz on account of his greater big-fight experience.Comment
