What's funny is that even after 5 years, with Mayweather retired and in his 40s, the first fight was so one-sided that I'm not sure Alvarez would win.

And lol at trying to say canelo was in his prime because he had 44 fights against lower level comp at the time.

Floyd was still at his best canelo on the other hand was waaay too green for Floyd at the time and that’s a fact.

You noobs need to find another sport cuz boxing ain’t for you.
23 is prime and if it isn’t it’s way closer to prime than a 36year old. Use your brain lol.

You need to stop watching boxing and go find some common sense. You Canelo fans are always lying about that fight. He was 20, He was only 21, he was 22. Funny y’all never get his age right because you are just trying to make it seem like he was younger lol. Canelo had defended his belt TEN times before he faced Floyd with opponents that include Austin Trout, Shane Mosley, Kermit Cintron, Carlos Baldomir. Good solid opponents at that time and a couple of HOF’ers. Lmao at lower level competition you weirdos will makeup any excuse for Canelo losing. He was the Super Welterweight champion and defended the belt ten times he HAD to fight Floyd moron. You think he was just going to be able to hold on to that belt until he was “in his prime” lmaooo. Fact is he got beat by a smaller older out of prime Floyd. Too slow, too flat footed he’d never beat Floyd. Should of kept his mouth closed and he’d still be undefeated.

FYI in boxing if you are 23 and have 44fights and beat 2 hall of famers and two champions and multiple former world champions. Then you are in your prime. He should be thanking his daddy Floyd because he’ll never sell that many Ppvs again.

        Because he’s irrelevant.
Canelo won’t even mention Floyd name after that embarrassing beat down Floyd put on him in front of Canelos parents lol. Canelo is scarred for life

Beating bumlovkin means nothing, after all bumlovkin is the most over rated fraud in recent years, a guy who still has to be taught how to cut the ring, a guy who blocks punches with his head
All due respect bro, agree with you Duran has lost his mind, but Golovkin is not a bum by any means, that dude is a tough mofo.

Now you could say this or say that, Floyd is 41 right now and Alvarez is at his prime at 28, plus Canelo is more suited to fight @160 than @152.

Don't get me wrong I still have Floyd as my top fighter of the last 10 years the dude is a magician inside the ring but to say the he would whoop Canelo right now at his prime age, weight and with a lot more experience is nonsense.

I just say "Let's stop this ****** conversation because both guys are ion total different stages of their careers"

And remember when it was "No way will Floyd step up and fight Canelo, he'd never fight a young bull like that." These clowns said Floyd was ducking Canelo then as soon as he schooled him it was that Canelo was too green. Dude had 44 fights and was wrecking guys, if Floyd would have waited to fight him they would have screamed "duck". And the catch weight is a moot point too, Canelo had weighed in at 153 lbs in 2 of his 3 previous fights, that 1 single pound made zero difference, and after what we saw in the ring that night, no weight would have matter.

The haters conveniently forget they said Floyd would duck Canelo. They forget they said Floyd was ducking Hatton, Marquez, and Mosely too.

Of course Canelo would win now thats pretty obvious. Anyway, Floyd beat Canelo easy 5 years ago so there is no need for a rematch. Prime Floyd is better than prime Canelo, that question has already been settled.

Yawn. Tired of hearing the Canelo was green excuse. Floyd vs Canelo wasn't an example of a wily veteran using dirty tricks or decades of compiled experience to pull out a close win over a young fighter. Floyd just dominated him. Mayweather stood right in front of Canelo and walked him down. I don't remember Canelo coming close to winning a single round. That may have been the most dominant performances I've ever seen from Floyd.

Canelo did nothing to impress. I didn't watch that ppv and walk away thinking "wow. good fight. Canelo might have a chance with a few years of experience". I came away thinking FMJ is on a completely different level from Canelo. There's no point to a rematch. It would prove nothing.
