Was Dmitry Pirog better than GGG?

Before the GGG hype started another Eastern European MW looked to be the real deal winning all of fights and knocking out Jacobs and was on his way to stardom. A damn shame he had to retire.

Fantasy fight. GGG vs Pirog....who would you pick to win this battle?

Didn't he back down from GGG?
Like back out of a fight with him?

Pirog was technically superior to Golovkin, but Golovkin's chin and power would make up for the gap in skills.

We would never know, from the little we saw of him he was very good technically. You wouldn’t believe he was a boxer from the eastern euro bloc.

If GGG struggled with a smaller slick fighter like Canelo, how could he have beaten a slicker bigger fighter such as Pirog?

Yea he crippled himself so he didn't have to fight him.

But for real Pirog could've been a force to be reckoned with, incredible boxer, shame what happened.

GGG got the Russian mafia to force Pirog to retire and fake a back injury. Triple Crap knew he'd get his ass whooped!!

The middleweight division woukd have been COMPLETELY different if this fight would have happened. Big shame.

Pirog would have been tough to beat. A younger jacobs coukd barely hit him with power shots. Very slick fighter
