I didn't say he wasn't good. But from the hype I've heard he's terrible compared to the hype. I was expecting something special from the kid. Roy was high on the kid and Floyd Sr. was acting like he was like young Floyd. Young Floyd knocked out guys and was impressive as hell. Haney has a lot to work on.

Haney has great athleticism, but defence iq isnt high enough to be world champ in a tough division like lightweight. I think a lot of the very top guys like loma and linares stop him

Pure talent but it's early in the sport. One fight at a time

no way. Loma has no power and Linares is to slow.

He's 19 years old for crying out loud. Burgos is a tough proud fighter that wasn't going to be stopped. Is Haney ready for Lomachenko or Linares or Garcia? Of course not, but in a year in a half once he gets stronger he's going to be trouble for anyone.

He has a lot of unnecessary movement. It was clear in the pocket he was busting Burgos up yet he reverted to getting on his bike when he shouldn't have. Still, a lot to like about this kid and he's already good enough to beat guys like Crolla.

Floyd Sr. said Haney tuned up Tank in sparring. Sparring, I know, but it tells you he has great potential. We need skilled young rising stars like Haney to keep the sport exciting.

Its funny how some fans drag their feet to like a new star, saying well "he's no Floyd" or "he's no SRL". No, he's not, but his best years are ahead of him. I think he is ready now for someone like Linares, but probably not Loma or M. Garcia.

I was very impressed with Haney. The kid is 19, and just toyed with a tough vet who was 33-2-2. That's pretty remarkable if you ask me. But, you know "boxing fans", always complaining and looking for negatives.

He's so full of talent. By the time he is 21 he is going to be a PROBLEM for this sport.
