The ratings are not the only issue. There were other decisions that showed a clear decline in interest in boxing by the network.

    1. The consistently shrinking budget.
    2. The decision not to offer boxing via streaming (While all of its other content is available on demand via streaming.)
    3. The (effectively) intentional dismissal of Top Rank from the network for the mismatch Crawford v. Postol. (Yes the network knew it was a mismatch and had no interest in the fight.)
    4. The propaganda campaign against Haymon. (via writers like Hauser who were paid by the network to write hit pieces on one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the history of media and entertainment.)

I posted here a few years ago that they'd be leaving the sport. Of course I was called crazy. But if you just look at any of their recent press releases (last few years or so) about their content, it was clear to see boxing was not a priority anymore.
You clearly know what you're talking about my good man

The PC Feminists at HBO don't want boxing on HBO - "Toxic Masculinity"

Nothing to do with Floyd or boxing itself, FIomo

HBO's excuse was BS - too much boxing content available.

Last time I checked you can't watch Canelo, GGG and others anywhere else and it's live content. It's a Goldmine if run properly.

Him going to showtime did nothing for them. They still get **** ratings even when they put good fights on their network.

Shut your f@ggot ass up pussie. Yes it did. 100% facts. Floyd left to Showtime Haymon created PBC brought a shyt ton of fighters: Wilder, Garcia, Broner, Thurman, Spence etc.. You get the picture idiot.

Haymon signs a crazy deal this year and HBO drops boxing. If you think Floyd and the Haymon side with those names stayed over there they would be out you are outside your mind. Proof is in the pudding f@ggot. Haymon and company signed an extension HBO out of boxing. Checkmate pussie

HBO loss there ability to connect with the viewer when they started designing champions and keeping them in place by avoiding real threats. The product was watered down and everyone knew it. What’s remarkable is that the HBO Boxing team was so deluded that they chose to ignore the writing on the wall that said “adjust their path and align with Haymon,” instead they stubbornly closed there doors to profitability.

Can’t run a company on spin and emotion. HBO disrupted itself by going against the times, in this era the fans demand authenticity and the best fighting the best!!

Speaking facts f@ggot. Where did I lie? I see you lying saying the Mayweather Haymon move didn't hurt HBO. Facts pussie try and deflect but is Haymon not still in boxing with a new deal? And HBO just left boxing?

Most likely the head of the company turned in to a live show and listened to Jim, Max, and Roy and decided he needed to cancel that **** immediately lol...
It has 1 season left though.
