    Daniel Jacobs' recent HBO Deal

Was Daniel Jacobs' HBO run one of the worst deals in recent memory?

Jacobs last 2 fights before goin with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom USA on HBO were Peter Quillin and GGG.
He leaves PBC (not Haymon) expecting fights with Canelo and a GGG rematch and instead gets Luis Arias and literally 2 guys from the PBC stable to fight.

He is still no worse off than he was with PBC. Back when he was with PBC he was still going nowhere fast. He did at least get a big fight with GGG. It does not matter who you are signed under. These days the guys who make it, start ducking. Nobody fights each other.

True, but he was representing the PBC moniker at that time.

He went over to HBO for Canelo and GGG rematch not Luis Arias and 2 PBC guys.

I mean, he is about to fight for a MW title on HBO's final boxing broadcast lol.

Pretty good, if not a little lucky.

It is sorta ironic he went to HBO to fight 2 PBC guys lol.

Wasn't Hearn paying him more too doe? Plus the chance to get Canelo or GGG was much better with HBO. Obviously he didn't get either fight but he couldn't know that for sure & you gotta make moves sometimes & sometimes they don't work in your favor.
