I reckon there's more to this than the meets the eye. IE Canalo's looking for an opponent for December & neither he nor BJS need the WBO belt.

Anyway...no, datejust is not my thing just like Rolex in general. Respect it, but no love for it. I guess I'm not an elderly and successful Chinese gentleman to go after datejust
RM..I think among all the "new" watch brands that are worth mentioning RM stands out. Firstly, they have excellent quality materials, then there is an original design you don't mistake for any other brand and they are not afraid to innovate and be daring. Their price point is a bit obscene and I personally don't think their watches have good legibility (I wouldn't buy a watch just for it to be a bracelet), but all in all I think its a very respected brand and they do things the right way. Hence, the result, in less than 20 years they've become a symbol of opulence and success, at least among athletes and racers. I saw Lemiuex and Canelo wearing some RMs.
Can't say the same about Hublot though..I feel they are more like wannabies although they have a powerful and rich marketing team that helps put there name out there. But I really don't get their point or their target market. I'd rather go Blancpain, GP, VC or AP in that price point.
I see them as the next Hublot
I don't question the horology or the innovation, their use of materials is world-leading in some ways..... I just question the design, aesthetics, and value
which is exactly what I question about Hublot
15 years ago..... all of those basketball players, football players, etc, that you mentioned..... were running around in Hublot
and Richard Mille is not a watchmaker, which may add to my evaluation.... they just seem like a high-end fashion watch..... but I do get them, and I do respect them
time will tell I guess
what is your opinion on the AP Royal Oak Openworked 41mm double balance-wheel?
