I agree. Which is why I just spent the last three years telling all of you guys that HBO was being bullied out of the sport and would give up.

But you can't say FOX has nothing to do with it when they're one of the main reasons prices are getting too crazy for HBO to stomach.

      Yet here we are.

I was called every name in the book. So surely there are at least a few honorable gentlemen here willing to apologize?

I wrote the following on boxingscene in January 2016:

"Haymon has most of the opponents locked up. He'll keep choking HBO slowly until HBO gives up years down the line."

"So the only way to create a $100 million pie like UFC has is to invest the money to prove that boxing can work as a network sport. So far it's pulling in similar numbers to what UFC pulls in. Even if Haymon has to spend $500 million over three years to prove his concept, if he ends up with a $100 million a year TV deal at the end, it was money well spent."

"We couldn't disagree more on the role live sports will play in HBO's future. You believe they'll become more important to HBO, I believe they'll be minimized or eliminated by HBO.

You raise many great points about the "freshness" of live sports, but that is precisely why they won't fit into HBO's future."

"HBO's real fight is going to be with Netflix. Eventually fighting with Al Haymon is going to be a waste of their time. HBO's resources will be better spent elsewhere. "

Ummm. I didn't criticise you on your comments, and kudos on your prescience... I'm assuming you're the member of the troika with the PBC / Haymon connection, yes? But therein lies the rub - how can you expect people to apologise to you when they never know which member of the troika said what? I mean, you address an apology to an individual don't you - it's kind of a personal thing, right? You can't really apologise to a multi-user account... not, of course, that I imagine you'd be getting any apologies even if it you were the sole user.

He made a thread to directly ask for apologies. I don't know how else you would define "smugness".

The title of this thread pretty much says it all doesn't it?

How did you manage that with an account that says it was made 1 year ago?

I think HBO wanted this all along even before top rank left. I think Nelson wanted this since the Mayweather Pacquiao fight as the network has been making way more money with much less overhead from other broadcasts.

I don't think this has much to do with the Haymon fighters nor the top rank fighters leaving, these people left because the network wanted out of boxing long time ago and didn't wanna invest anything in it, HBO could have more money than showtime and ESPN combined and they rhey could've kept everyone at HBO if they wanted to but it just wasn't worth it.

Did you really make a thread about asking for apologies from internet strangers? Newsflash - nobody gives a flying **** ass about you. Or me.

You just come off as a lonely gloating loser. There's more name calling for ya.

This account is operated by three friends who all ditched their previous accounts to instead post exclusively under a joint account. I used to post as "Original Zero". In January 2016, I posted the following:

"Haymon has most of the opponents locked up. He'll keep choking HBO slowly until HBO gives up years down the line."
