So December is Fury/Wilder on the 1st, Canelo on the 15th, no ones going up against them. Then Loma/Pedraza 8th in New York, seeing HBO planning a Bivol and Munguia card Long Island 8th, then Hearn's New York card on the 8th. LOL, 3 cards in New York on the 8th, December gunna be chaos. Or is Bivol actually a new Matchroom signing?

    Anyway Bivol gunna smash him

Joe doesn't strike me as a fighter who will improve all that much, if any. He has to grab the money fights where he can and if he is willing to assume the risk, more power to him.

I like Joe Smith. He's a great underdog story.

With that said, Bivol is the same guy that destroyed the same opponent that pretty much dominated Smith. This isn't a good fight to take, not yet. Smith has had a broken jaw (supposedly) twice in his career now. I worry for his sake when he gets in the ring with an ever more skilled opponent like Bivol. He's only had one fight in a year, against a no-hoper. I feel like he should have taken a least one more slightly harder fight before stepping up to someone who may arguably be the best fighter in the division.

I think Smith has a chance in this fight I don't think Bivol is as good as hbo is trying to make it seem.

Completely outclassed Barrera and chilemba, two guy's who give pretty much everyone tough fights. I don't see how joe even makes this competitive.

You can't go by other fights with fighters with completely different styles like Chilemba and Smith because styles do make fights. I'm not saying Smith beats him but I wouldnt write him completely off against Bivol. Bivol beat Chilemba but looked sloppy not like the hbo crew made it out to be.

Poor Joe. I wonder what kind of card they can even come up with for this though? HBO ain't got much for fighters.

Smith has b@lls 4 sure. I think this is a terrible matchup for him. Bivol is way, way too technical for him. I think Smith Jr. could hurt him but I can't see him landing the shot. I just hope it doesn't hurt his overall will. Kuddos for daring to be great.
