Khan has been chasing The Big One (Mayweather or Pac) for so long now its bordering on stalking/obsession. The writer is spot-on that Khan knows any of the top welterweights walk walk right through him, and his dream of The Big One ends - so he's avoided top WW opposition for years.
If Mayweather and Pac sign for II, then Khan is indeed frozen out. Brook was always Plan B if he couldn't get Mayweather/Pac (M/P), and he'll keep delaying it till all hope of M/P is completely gone.
His insistence on 147 has been the latest delay tactic. Prior to that the demand of 70/30 in his favour, all of which he knows won't be accepted and can keep the fight on the back-burner if all hope of M/P is gone.
Brook mentioned he would be willing to go to 147, but he can't go more than 6 rounds at that weight, so he's gambling on Khan's chin going before the end of the 6th. Hopefully Brook's advisers are telling him 147 is a bad idea, and a catchweight is the minimum weight. Eventually Khan will have to take it, else flame out with a Porter/Garcia/Thurman/Bud.
