Lampley is a K.O. fanboy he always gets excited for the aggressive hard punching K.O. artists. He rides Canelos d!k whenever hes fighting anyone other than Golovkin. Roy my favorite fighter of all time, sometimes makes outrageous claims that leave you scratching your head. Max, to me, always seemed to be the most level headed out of the 3 I can recall many times where he disagreed with Roy, Jim and Harold whenever theyd say some outlandish *****tt. he always disagrees with harolds card unless the fights a shut out. But I've noticed him becoming more and more of a company man. Which is a shame cuz he actually does know his stuff. I'll never forget when he said Floyd was afraid to give Pac a rematch because Floyd knew Pac would knock him out the next time. I cringed so hard.

i remember when kellerman kept pushing the inaccurate narrative that roman got robbed in first fight against rung
after rung knocked him out in rematch, 2 of his 4 questions were about the controversy of the first fight
absolutely ridiculous lol

This is hilarious
Yet no ggg fan here finds lampley biased just because he was cheering ggg right?
Lampley is hands down the biggest cheerleader in boxing but conveniently Sanchez had no real issue with him lol

He was calling ***** for ggg that was never there lol

Kellerman does a lot of name dropping during his commentary in an effort to show how much he knows about boxing history and while he can name fights and dates from the past, his actual knowledge and insight into a fight as it's happening is quite poor. How many times have we heard Max directly contradict or question insightful comments from Emmanuel Steward or Roy Jones only to apologize later in the fight when he finally sees what they saw rounds earlier.
I used to like Jim Lampley's commentating but lately he seems to have his own personal agenda and automatically reacts enthusiastically when the fighter he wants to win lands one punch. HBO have squandered their legacy as the premium network for boxing and is now a shadow of its former self.
I don't always agree with Bob Arum but he was right to pull out with this Peter Nelson guy at the helm. Based on how downhill HBO Boxing has gone in the last couple of years, Nelson should be held personally responsible for the decline.
