According to the NSAC’s official report, a copy of which was obtained by BoxingScene.com, the total ticket revenue from the Alvarez-Golovkin rematch September 15 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas was $23,473,500.00. That figure came from 16,732 tickets sold to a 12-round middleweight championship match Mexico’s Alvarez won by majority decision.

Now I want to know how much money was made from 80,000 people at Wembley! Please release those figures!

They would HAVE to have a 4th fight!! Its a no brainer., Lets just hope they leave it as is. i have NO interest in a 3rd fight nevermind a 4th one
First if Golovkin were to win I think he and lots of people including myself would say he won all three or at least two of the three. The best I could have given Canelo in the last fight was a draw, but I don't think he got that.

Personally I think Golovkin has already demonstrated to be the better fighter/boxer, I don't need the judges to tell me that.

I think Golovkin already believes that.

Has anyone seen the live gate numbers from Joshua vs. Klitschko? Please provide a link! I could only find projections:

•£8m in gate receipts from a record 90,000 crowd

        https://www.bloodyelbow.com/2016/12/...boxing-records

8M in British pounds in approximately $10.5M in U.S.! How the in the hell? Canelo vs. GGG just made Twice that with only 16K in attendance! Think about that next time someone brings up how much Joshua generates!

They should fire the numbers guy who supposedly worked out which tickets were comped and sold. The numbers are way off.

Guaranteed the 'spare' seats would have sold at $25 a pop. They goofed it.

I'd be interested in a 3rd fight. Second fight was better than the first... maybe the trend would continue with the 3rd (2 knockdowns a side type drama lol). They are clearly well matched and now they know each other inside the ring very well.

            Dollars to donuts?

This fight was a flop commercially at the gate, while its big money for both fighters, the pay hike combined with a tired narrative robbed the fight of buzz, it's SO unlikely the fight did a million buys, the price, free streams, lack of overall interest, the fight was not a flop, but it wasnt a blockbuster either.

You could see a ton of empty seats in the arena that night.

                dumb statement, its all relative.

Early on when he was becoming a star, if GGG had turned in 400,000 buys on the DL card for example, that would have been considered a massive haul, a successful gate is predicated upon the potential of the attractions, where they are at in their careers.

And by the way, if Canelo/GGG 2 did 600,000 buys, thats a good buy rate, both men make a ton of money if thats the case.

A million buys is a boon, a blockbuster, but that is unlikely the case here.

I can't find live gate numbers for Wilder nor Joshua! I just want to know why Joshua's "projected" gate revenue is so much less than Canelo's when Joshua has 80,000 in attendance, and Canelo only has 16,000? I find it interesting that a mega-fight in T-Mobile makes way more than a mega-fight in Wembley!

No one really wanted to spend money for a 2nd fight when the first was a damn Robbery Draw just to squeeze more money out from fans in a 2nd fight..

                      Fool me once, ok,
Fool me twice then Ill just find a free stream
