Yup, agree. Its hard to second-guess how Golovkin will approach it, but he likely knows he can't get a decision in Vegas (for whatever reason, that's not the point of discussion here), and he might just accept it and take the fight for the retirement money.
The alternative would be to take the retirement route of fighting someone tailored for him in Kazakhstan, plus maybe Murata Japan, but that's more work for a lot less money. Saunders is a possibility as he may feel that suits his style, but I wonder if Saunders would be that interested given no belts on offer (?).
Either way I suspect he knows its game over. There's no point trying to rebuild with the likes of Jacobs again or Charlo, he's got no belts to offer and won't be able to command big money, and the rebuild time will take him to 38 and above. I don't think anyone needs to tell him that's a bad idea, he'll already know (but they will tell him anyway).
