The games being played and why it means Joshua-Wilder won't be next
    ESPN

    April 16, 2018:

If Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs) wants the fight with Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs) next, it sure doesn't seem that way, regardless of what he says. It's clear in the offer Joshua's promoter, Matchroom Boxing's Eddie Hearn, recently made to the Wilder camp: a flat fee of $12.5 million, take it or leave it, for Wilder's participation in the fight.

For Team Joshua to take Wilder as a $12.5 million expense without cutting him in for a large percentage of an event that could generate in the high eight figures is a joke. When Joshua faced Joseph Parker to unify their three belts last month, the Parker camp got one-third of the money in the event.

If Parker is worth a third, Wilder is easily worth at least that much and probably even a few more points. His side has stated it knows it's not getting 50-50 and hasn't asked for it, but to be offered a flat fee is not a real offer. It's an offer meant for the Joshua team to be able to run around and say, "Hey, we made an offer, and Team Wilder turned it down." It's called playing games, and it's nothing new in boxing.

Anthony Joshua vs. Deontay Wilder next? Don't get your hopes up
    ESPN

    September 24, 2018:

"I want Deontay Wilder because that is the biggest fight in world boxing," Hearn said. "It would be the biggest fight in all-time British boxing history."

But saying it and making it are entirely different. Hearn said any deal must be done before Wilder-Fury on Dec. 1, which is going to make things even more difficult given that Wilder (and Fury, also a possible foe for a huge all-British showdown) will be focused on the task at hand. There's really no need to line up an April fight in December, so it seems like an artificial deadline that will cause the fight not to happen.

But Joshua, boxing's biggest global star, can tell Hearn what he wants. There is no need for such a deadline, and everyone knows it. Still, Joshua at least said the right things.

Parker's split was reported by ESPN and BoxingScene among others, so I don't know what else you want. All I'm asking for is an official statement from anyone in Wilder's camp regarding this contract, and you can't give me anything but Hearn talking (without even a timestamp) yet I'm supposed to be the partisan lol. I'm over this.
so the actual link you sent me is with Hearn said he saw it..yet I have sent you another link which is more recent than that with Hearn actually on video saying no funds were shown and no contract....are you ******ed ? So basically your believing him when it is just written down but you refuse to believe him when you actually watch him say that he has not seen proof of funds ? Once again are you ******ed ?

He shot the offer down after saying the offer was real, so why would a contract follow? Doesn't Hearn changing his stance mean he's lying? Are you being disingenuous on purpose, or are you ******ed? Don't answer that.

To be fair, it was an op-ed, and those don't really count. He's completely wrong on what he's saying in regards to negotiations, but I can give him that. I wouldn't link an op-ed as fact either, though I would use the actual facts in the op-ed to bolster my own arguments.
