It's a good news because any fighter out of Quebec (I'll speak for my province only here) that "makes it" on the international level (Pascal, Bute, Stevenson and Lemieux) fights on PPV (for our local market) even if the fight is on regular Showtime or HBO in the US (HBO Canada can't broadcast a Lemieux fight for example). Hell even their tuneups are PPV (for example Lemieux vs Achour).
Damn tuneups on PPV? Thats a bit much, but guessing there is a super loyal audience for this to be the case.

How much do they charge for PPV's in Canada?

If I remember correctly, Lemieux vs Achour was 75$ or 55$ (yes you have read correctly). Same for Pascal vs Bossé (the MMA fighter).

Interesting fact: the price in the US is the same in Canada, Canelo vs GGG II was also 84.99$ but in Canadian currency.

I have no idea of the numbers of the local PPV buys but I can tell that the interest in Quebec was very high between Pascal vs Froch and Pascal vs Bute (2008-2015ish). During that era, Pascal and Bute pulled in at least a seven figure check and a cut of the PPV. As for Stevenson, he came in early enough to benefit from the era during which Haymon was very generous with the purses.

Ever since, the interest has waned quite a bit. For example, the local sports bar I go to was only half full for Kovalev vs Alvarez (even after making a name for himself over here with wins over Bute and Pascal). Back in the days, I watched Pascal vs Hopkins or the door steps of that same bar which has two floors.

Good For Eddie and Matchroom! Does he have any Canadian Fighters?

Only negative is once again you're sending Eddie into a Market he knows nothing about and a Market dominated by Yvon Michel for the most Part. If in that Deal Yvon Michel will be part of it and get dates on DAZN for his fighters then GREAT MOVE!

OBvious deal , does this mean DAZN doesn't currently have the rights in the other countries either it operates?

What about the U.K. Fights, are they being distributed also ?

It would be nice to see some British prospects fight in Canada & vice versa, some Canadians come over here!

Great news! Others in the thread have said this, but fights on HBO, Showtime and even ESPN and Fox are often not shown up here.

DAZN's been a saving grace as far as consistent boxing content.

He's probably a poisonous American trying to smear DAZN because it's Hearn. You know what these freaks are like.
