Here's what the snake oil salesman said about Ortiz less than 2 years ago: "Luis Ortiz is one of the most exciting heavyweights in the world and I am delighted to be working with him," Hearn said. "We plan to keep him very busy and let the fans enjoy his devastating power. Luis is an avoided fighter but we plan on giving him the profile that will make that impossible."
then they ditched him like a bad habit lol

Dave Allen took his best punches. No doubt Ortiz has power but he is old and ponderous and Wilder like with most of his fights makes them look better than they are.
You know Anthony, I believe that there is a modicum of decency and morality in you. I understand your love of AJ. Moreover, you are arguably his biggest fan on this forum but at least you have to admit that Ortiz would be too much and all wrong for Povetkin at this current stage of their careers. You know deep down whether or you refused to admit it or not that Ortiz is the stronger, more powerful, and fundamentally sound, better coordinated, with a better defense and chin than Alexander Povetkin.

Bro I’m a big fan of Joshua and I’m not scared to admit if Deontay lands on his Whiskers it’s all over but I genuinely believe Joshua will bully him and knock him out. What is puzzling to me though is that I know some of you Wilder fans box and box to reasonable standard. Yes there may have been a few sparring partners that you were anxious about but no one that you were scared to get in the ring with.

        I’m not even a good amateur but I enjoy sparring. I’m 6 ft 3 and 220 lbs.

A big puncher especially with just a right hand ,one two is nothing to fear. He makes so many mistakes as a boxer it’s unreal . He looks so bad at times that I feel I can outbox him and I’m trash.( when it gets tough for me in there I purposely head butt or bite off eyebrows)

What’s the worst that can happen? Joshua gets caught with a lucky shot and he goes to sleep. Povetkin will be a harder fight than Wilder. He is clumsy and easy to outbox. Wilder has a punchers chance and that’s it.

Again I totally understand anyone thinking Wilder will knock out Joshua because that’s what he is a knockout specialist. As for Ortiz he is a great boxer but old. If he was 20 years younger or between the ages of 35-40 he would have beat Wilder.

Povetkin in his entire career has never been stopped but now he is chinny.

Oh great, another AJ thread for the poisonous Americans to get their teeth into. They're not angry and bitter, no honest. Haha

Fury isn't more deserving of the fight than Whyte is. Whyte has actually done something recently. Fury hasn't. And if you think he's going to do anything against Wilder with the state he's in, think again.

Poisonous scummy Americans, you may continue.

Since when did we start talking about Ortiz as if he is more than what he is.
Just because wilder KO doesn't make him that good. His resume is whack.
Nowhere near podvetkin to be honest.
