Why is it that these guy's fan base always make excuses for their poor performance? They always say "if Broner is motivated he'll be unstoppable". As soon as their fighter starts looking "average", their fan base starts making excuses such as "he didnt take training seriously".

No. It's the skin tone they don't like. There are some under lying inferiority complex they trying to mask.
I don't like any of those fighters really. Used to be a fan of PBF back in the day. They are all idiots. Mayweather is an ATG.
