Because it's only a few weeks difference, and with October being MONTHS away, it shouldnt be that big of a deal for Floyd to fight a few weeks earlier to make 8 MILLION dollars. That is, if Floyd wanted the "easy money" to fight Margarito.

I think it's a combination of the two sides that are currently discussing. I don't think Floyd would look forward to a fight with Margarito but I don't think Arum is crazy enough to think Margarito will pack the seats full since his name isn't as well known. I think he put the fight out there as a possibility to get the public more aware of Margarito, as well as making it look like he's insulting Floyd given their past history (Arum doing the insulting that is).

Maybe Arum's got the date booked already, or he wants Antonio to get in the ring again. He's been offering Floyd 8 mills to fight Margarito for the longest, so how does that prove he doesnt want the PBF/Marg fight, if he wants Floyd to fight ONLY A FEW WEEKS EARLIER THAN PLANNED?

October 7th (A date Arum REFUSES to change), is ONE DAY before Leonard Ellerbe is allowed back into Floyd's corner (coincidence?). The reason why Floyd wants a November fight is because, even though Roger won't be in his corner, he'll at least have Ellerbe (which he has stated many many times). The date that Arum is forcing Floyd to fight on (if he fights) he would have to have a brand new corner in his supposedly biggest fight of his career. Floyd has stated for months, even before the Oscar fight was being considered that he was going to either fight in September of November, because of that very reason

Fact of the matter is, Arum is still bitter about Floyd buying out his contract and is doing everything he can to make him look bad.
